Greta finally decided to make her appearance! I had an induction planned for Wednesday afternoon, since she was overdue, Mom was flying in, and Ben was off work. The hospital called and said they were too busy. : ( My doctor decided to wait and see what happened and make plans if I hadn't done anything by Friday. I started having contractions Wednesday night. Based on my previous experiences, I thought for sure we'd have a baby by Thursday afternoon. I had contractions ALL DAY. But despite running errands and walking downtown for hours, I couldn't get them to come consistently. Finally, at dinner time they started coming hard and fast. Ben and I packed up and headed to the hospital. I got my amazing epidural right away and everything was right with the world. Doctor broke my water just before 11pm. One push and 11 minutes later, she was finally here! She is so pleasant and sweet. Eats well, sleeps well, rarely cries and, lucky for me, enjoys being held and cuddled.
Coming Home
Her siblings are in LOVE with her!
Especially Levi. He loves to sit and hold her and rub her head. He brings her toys and blankets and snacks. He thinks it is HIS baby and is upset when its someone elses turn to hold her.
We are thrilled she finally made it! Strange to have a new baby again, and I find myself calling her "dude" and "Buddy". Might take me a while to switch back over to "Sweetie" and "Princess". Once again I find myself sitting in one spot holding a baby all day while the world skips along without me....and thats OK.

AWWW! I am so happy for you! We missed you at church but I'm glad you're taking it easy with the baby. Enjoy the first few weeks, and catch what sleep you can. I told Sister Jones to put me on the roster for dinners...
she is beautiful!!! so happy for you guys. Makes me so thrilled for mine to come hopefuly in the next week 1/2 or so..

Oh she is so sweet! I love her name!!!!! Greta is so cute. I love those moments of brand new newborns. You are so right, the world skips away and you know all is right while you hold your angel! So great Sills. Congrats!

Congratulations Natalie, Ben and GANG! She is beautiful. I really, REALLY hope one day our schedules and locations match up so I can meet this little angel!
congratulations guys, how cute and Natalie, i can totally commisserate with you on how long you were pregnant, isn't it the pits to be pregnant for 10 months instead of just 9? been there and i'm so sorry, but glad she's here now, she looks like a doll. so happy for you guys, wish we were there to see her and spend some good ole time with you guys. miss ya!! the gees
